Paint correction and polishing in Newmarket
Paint that looks dull, hazy or covered in fine circular marks is not worn out — it is covered in microscopic damage that scatters light. Multi-stage paint correction levels the clear coat and brings back the deep gloss the car had when it was new. This is slow, careful machine work, done by one person who answers for the result.
What paint correction fixes
- Oxidized, faded and chalky paint
- Swirl marks and wash marring across whole panels
- Holograms and buffer trails left by previous poor polishing
- Water spot etching and light bird-dropping marks
- Overall dullness — gloss and depth of colour come back
What it doesn't fix
- Clear coat that is already peeling or flaking — polishing cannot rebuild missing clear coat; that panel needs repainting
- Deep scratches through the paint
- Faded plastic trim (paint only)
How the paint correction process works
- 1
Inspect and measure
The paint is inspected panel by panel under proper light to judge what the clear coat can safely give.
- 2
Decontaminate
Bonded contamination is removed so nothing gets dragged under the pad.
- 3
Compound
A cutting stage levels the defects — swirls, oxidation, etching.
- 4
Polish
A finishing stage refines the surface to a clear, deep gloss with no holograms.
- 5
Protect
A sealant locks in the finish.
How long it lasts
The correction itself is permanent. How long the paint stays looking corrected depends on how the car is washed afterwards — Vlad will show you what to avoid.
A 1-step polish starts at $280 (coupe) and a 2-step correction at $420, by vehicle size. See full pricing →
Common questions
What is the difference between polishing and paint correction?
They are the same kind of work at different depths. Polishing is a lighter, single-stage gloss enhancement. Paint correction is multi-stage: a cutting compound levels the defects first, then a finer polish refines the finish. Which one your paint needs depends on its condition.
Will the swirl marks come back after paint correction?
The removed swirls are gone for good, but new ones can be put in by automatic car washes and dirty wash mitts. Wash the car properly and the finish holds. Vlad explains exactly what to avoid when he hands the car back.
